15 Minutes - Make & Create Outside

Write letters of the alphabet on leaves and hide them around your garden for the kids to find

Take some interesting close up snaps of plants in your area

Gather materials to make Nature Crowns from twigs, leaves, flowers or whatever Nature goodies they find on the ground

Find some small twigs, tie them together, and make a Stickman

Gather flowers or leaves for pressing- you could use them to make cards, to decorate favourite books or to make a print for their bedroom. Place a stack of heavy books on top, instead of using a flower presser-works just as well.

Gather petals from outside and make a Nature Fairy

It only takes 15 mins to make for a whole lot of fun afterwards too. Adapt if you need to use two straight-ish sticks and it works just as well.

Allowing the kids time for creative expression gives them great satisfaction - you'll want to join in too

Gather stones together outside and let your kids find their creativity through stones and pebbles. You could also set them up with paints and brushes outdoors, on the grass, patio or balcony, and they can let their creative juices flow.

Make a portrait of yourself in stones or dirt, leaves, twigs

Stick some tape to their jacket or t-shirt and stick on small items of their choosing. Adapt into a nature crown by sticking tape onto a cardboard strip and creating a crown to decorate.
